G''Day Folks,

I agree with Max, these are all good ideas. And although I don''t know
the best way ahead here are some further thoughts.

The likelyhood of /usr/demo/dtrace/contrib appearing may rest on Sun''s
internal policy for adding things to Solaris, espically things written by
external people (us). I''ve no idea - but I''d guess the chances
are slim!

DTrace does indeed need an easy to find "DTrace CookBook" website for
extra example scripts, on BigAdmin or Sunfreeware.

If we are contributing scripts to a single website, then any particularly
useful script will probably find it''s way into /usr/demo/dtrace
eventually anyway (perhaps rewritten).

Any DTrace enabled application (eg a monitoring GUI) probably
belongs packaged and shipped on Sunfreeware. Any logical group of scripts
(eg I/O diagnosis) would make a handy package for Sunfreeware too...

PS. Phwoarrr, 70 mirror sites? That''s probably spread on more
webservers
than Sun owns worldwide!

Yes, I am on this list and happy to offer space for dtrace
downloads.   Everything I put on the site is mirrored to currently
70 mirror sites.  I presume this would be OK.
