[dtrace-discuss] DTrace bailing out on x86/SMP snv_42
Hi, I''m having some weird problems with DTrace on my dual core amd64 machine. Given the following command: % /usr/sbin/dtrace -n ''syscall:::entry { @[execname] = count(); }'' Dtrace bails out with the error message "dtrace: processing aborted: Abort due to systemic unresponsiveness". This is quite untrue, the system is next to idle. However, if I take one of the processors offline, everything works as expected. Any ideas? saint ~ % /usr/sbin/dtrace -n ''syscall:::entry { @[execname] = count(); }'' dtrace: description ''syscall:::entry '' matched 229 probes dtrace: processing aborted: Abort due to systemic unresponsiveness saint ~ % su - Password: Sun Microsystems Inc.
