Hi, I could not find a link to the webmaster of the dtrace community page. So I am writing to this alias. The link to the dtrace guide doc seems to be broken. It is currently this: http://docs.sun.com/db/doc/817-6223 And it should be: http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-6223 Thanks Manoj

Since noone knows what is happening with docs.sun.com, it may be a bug that they will eventually fix; in which case, our website is correct - and docs.sun.com is wrong. Could someone please forward the following onto a docs.sun.com person: The link to the dtrace guide doc seems to be broken. It is currently http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/817-6223 And it should be: http://docs.sun.com/db/doc/817-6223 or please tell us what is going on? thanks, Brendan
G''Day Folks, I''ve updated the DTrace website to point to both URLs. This way, one of them _should_ be correct. Of course, docs.sun.com may break things again. cheers, Brendan

They changed their URL structures....> > Could someone please forward the following onto a docs.sun.com person: > > The link to the dtrace guide doc seems to be broken. This was changed a bit back - all the docs.sun.com URL''s were moved to this. They had to be changed in alot of spots on BigAdmin as well. Whoever does the pages on opensolaris needs to change. -- Robert B. Weeks - robert.weeks at sun.com WPE * Starlight * BigAdmin

See also the broken links in /usr/demo/dtrace -- those URLs weren''t supposed to be changed. Adam -- Adam Leventhal, Solaris Kernel Development http://blogs.sun.com/ahl
G''Day Folks, I''d like to read the DTrace Guide but docs.sun.com is broken, and has been for days ("Server Error"). Fortunately I have an old copy sitting around as a PDF, however I could only guess at how many other customers have been affected by this. First a mass URL breakage on docs.sun.com, now "Server Error" for all the content. This gives me a bad feeling about docs.sun.com - like that around the corner there will be an official announcement that the site is closing down. Perhaps, in preperation for the docs.sun.com closure, it would be a good idea we could move the DTrace Guide to opensolaris.org - which has excellent uptime and we know how to create referers. :) cheers, Brendan On Sun, 9 Apr 2006, Matty wrote:> On Sun, 9 Apr 2006, Brendan Gregg wrote: > > > G''Day Folks, > > > > I''ve updated the DTrace website to point to both URLs. Hi, I''m pleased to announce that the DTrace guide is now included as open source in the OpenSolaris Docs consolidation. Thanks to Mike and Eric and Ron and Mark and everyone who helped to convert the files and for your patience! Here''s the details from the docs-discuss list posting: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=9532&tstart=0 Thanks again for this request, Brendan, and let me know if you have any problems at all or further requests, I update the consolidation files each month. We are just getting started so any and all feedback is welcomed.
