dtrace discuss - Oct 2005 - D language Cookbook

I''m a technical writer at Sun. Currently I''m working on the
Dtrace User Guide, meant to become a more task-oriented companion volume to the
reference book (Dynamic Tracing Guide). One of the things I''m
incorporating in the book is a cookbook approach -- d language scripts for
common debugging tasks. I''m getting input from the Sun engineers, of
course, but I''d also like to hear from anyone else who uses dtrace
regularly as to what sorts of tasks you''d like to have included in the
book, so if there are any suggestions, please post them!

The cookbook approach is cool. Is there anyway to add a section that 
correlates the output from each system tool (e.g., mpstat, vmstat,
iostat, cpustat, intrstat, etc. ) to the processes and kernel events that 
triggered the non-zero values? This information would be an invaluable 
resource for identifying performance problems (e.g., a misbehaving 
application) on Solaris 10/opensolaris servers.
