Hi, To use DTrace you should a run Solaris 10 or Solaris Express (the next version of Solaris). Im not aware of anything like DTrace would run on Windows. So you need Solaris 10 x86 or sparc. Hope it helps, stefan This message posted from opensolaris.org
Pranesh, DTrace is right now a Solaris only thing. Windows does not have it. There is some talk of a port to FreeBSD. http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/bmc?entry=dtrace_on_freebsd There is no reason you cannot try DTrace on intel x86. Try Solaris on x86. ;) You might also want to think of the possibility running Solaris on a virtual machine - VMWare. Solaris works on both SPARC and x86, BTW. -- Rich Teer, SCNA, SCSA, OpenSolaris CAB member President, Rite Online Inc. Voice: +1 (250) 979-1638 URL: http://www.rite-group.com/rich

I''d answer that question, but I can''t help but believe I''ve misunderstood the question.
