dovecot - Dec 2005 - mysql auth 4.1.x with dovecot alpha 4 fails ...

I've dovecote on openbsd running. after using mysql
4.1.15 the authentication 
with dovecote fails. When I use no password, it works.

There seem to be a problem?
Is this a known topic?
