crossbow discuss - Dec 2008 - Phase 1 crossbow OpenSolaris bfu archives

Folks,

I have uploaded the final Crossbow x86 and SPARC bfu archives before we 
integrated the project into onnv. The bits are based on snv_103. For 
those eager to get their hands on the this, you can do so from our 
download page at:

If you wait until until 17th Dec, these bits will be part of OpenSolaris 
build 105 and will be available from the OpenSolaris download center 
(http://dlc.sun.com/osol/on/downloads/)

Sweet.

One remark:  After upgrading to these bits from the Oct 31 beta, I had
to manually modify /etc/dladm/datalink.conf to fix my vnic:s (otherwise
they would not come up, and could neither be added nor deleted with dladm).

It seems the vnic entries should now contain a property "linkover=",
which
was previously called something else (I already forgot what). 
Example of a correct entry:

name=string,vnic0;class=int,8;media=int,4;linkover=int,5;maddrtype=int,1;macaddr=string,2:8:20:b8:8a:ba;

I also ran into the following:
