[crossbow-discuss] Crossbow release based on snv_61
Folks, The CrossBow team is happy to announce an updated release based on snv 61. See http://opensolaris.org/os/project/crossbow/snapshots/ This release contains the following new features: o "dladm create-vnic" command takes new keywords for -m option. They can be ''random'', ''auto'', ''shared'' and ''factory''. These are explained in detail in dladm.1m.txt man page available at the same location. o The Neterion xge driver has been ported to CrossBow. o The code also contains a number of code cleanups and bug fixes. o The sources for the release are also released. Also for the FIRST time we have Sparc and x86 DVD images! Burn them onto your CDs, install and share it with your friends and family!! More information about CrossBow can be found at the OpenSolaris project home page at http://opensolaris.org/os/project/crossbow/ Feel free to contact us at crossbow-discuss at opensolaris.org for any questions or comments about this release or CrossBow in general. Enjoy! -Crossbow Team.

crypto issues: [crossbow-discuss] Crossbow release based on snv_61
I have been trying to use this version, but get errors about not finding a certificate. May 14 07:33:54 pinebarren kcfd[110]: kcfd: certificate /etc/crypto/certs/orig not a file May 14 07:33:54 pinebarren kcfd[110]: kcfd: unable to find a certificate for DN: O=Sun Microsystems Inc, OU=Corporate Object Signing, OU=Solaris Cryptographic Framework, CN=Solaris INTERNAL DEVELOPMENT USE ONLY May 14 07:33:54 pinebarren java[577]: libpkcs11: /usr/lib/security/pkcs11_softtoken.so unexpected failure in ELF signature verification. System may have been tampered with. See cryptoadm(1M). Skipping this plug-in. May 14 07:33:56 pinebarren kcfd[110]: kcfd: certificate /etc/crypto/certs/orig not a file I had been able to ignore this, but basic operations such as ''digest'' don''t work. The workaround at http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/on/flag-days/pages/2007040901/ does not work, and I saw someone else posted the same issue elsewhere and did not seem to get a response. Any other suggestions how to use this integrated build? Thanks Steffen Rajagopal Kunhappan wrote On 05/03/07 13:06,:> Folks, > > The CrossBow team is happy to announce an updated release based on snv 61. > > See http://opensolaris.org/os/project/crossbow/snapshots/ > > This release contains the following new features: > > o "dladm create-vnic" command takes new keywords for -m option. There was a problem with the sparc binaries. A clobber build has fixed it. http://opensolaris.org/os/project/crossbow/snapshots/ has been updated with the new sparc binaries after Steffen had verified them. Enjoy! -krgopi Steffen Weiberle wrote:> Hi Kais, > > Kais Belgaied wrote On 05/14/07 13:22,: >> Hi Steffen, >> are you seeing this on the global zone or from non global zone? > > I am seeing this in both.
