[crossbow-discuss] FW: Design review of IP Instances part of Crossbow
1. There is no specific mention of 802.11q standards for VLAN Tagging. I would think that a statement of compatibility would be necessary to ensure readers that the switching and firewall infrastructures that have been developed to the 802.11q standards will work with the new Virtualized stack.> -----Original Message----- > From: Elizabeth.West at sun.com [mailto:Elizabeth.West at sun.com] On Behalf > Of bj west > Sent: Tuesday, September 19, 2006 9:01 AM > To: Beser, Larry; Klum, Frank > Subject: Design review of IP Instances part of Crossbow > > Hi, > I''d appreciate it if you guys would forward the following to > interested parties in EDS who would be willing to review the design > docs and give feedback to the project crossbow team. > > If you''ve already received this request from others at Sun please > excuse the repetition, but since this seems to be an area of interest > at EDS I wanted to make sure it got to you. > thanks, > -bj > > The IP instances (formerly known as "Stack Instances") piece of > crossbow is now ready for design review comments. > > There are two documents which describe the design > si-interfaces - a high-level design focusing on the problem the > project solves, and what the user-visible changes are > > si-design - the design of the code changes. Those device drivers have to (and do) comply with the relevant standards.
