The menus stop drawing problem is still there in cvs. I can reproduce it 100% of the time by trying to use the File menu button in K3B. The other buttons work fine. Once i try to use the File menu all the other ones stop working. The fun doesn't stop there because trying to use it also causes all the other menus from drawing including the panel. nautilus from what i can tell stops drawing completely sometimes because of this. The question is why is the K3B file menu button so special because that is the only program that triggers. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I can confirm that on my system too! It's not *only* in K3B, though. Other applications (all KDE, though, I think) trigger this bug, too. K3B is the worst, indeed. It *sometimes* happens when I try to use one of the action buttons in the initial screen in the bottom half of the screen. A new window is *supposed* to come up for the parameters and it *does* come up but it is *invisible*. I only know it's there because I get popup help when I accidentally mouse-hover over some option. I'm using the latest CVS versions of both compiz and Xgl, too.
I can confirms this bug too, what triggers it on my machine is krusader (the one that comes with suse 10.1 and all the others I have tried), quanta+ and whatever KDE 3.5.2 app I accidentaly installed. The menus are there, I just can't see them. PS: this my first post on this mailing list, hope I am sending it in a right way to the right address
