Anaconda live installs use this:

rsync -pogAXtlHrDx --exclude /dev/ --exclude /proc/ --exclude /sys/
--exclude /run/ --exclude /boot/*rescue* --exclude /etc/machine-id
/run/install/source/ /mnt/sysimage
