[CentOS] problems installing java .sh install script (CentOS 6.2)
I am installing a java program (.sh file), and I get this error. Java **************************** tar: Skipping to next header tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors Installing java sed: can't read jre-install.sh: No such file or directory mv: cannot stat `jre1.6.0_13': No such file or directory chmod: cannot access `jre/bin/java': No such file or directory **************************** Everything jre-* is yum installed, and "/usr/sbin/alternatives --config java" is also set **************************** *+ 1 /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64/bin/java 2 /usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.5.0-gcj/bin/java **************************** Any suggestions? Distro is CentOS 6.2 (2.6.32-220.4.1.el6.x86_64).

It is selfextracting file with its own java? I have a lot of such programs (mostly from IBM) Gru?
