CentOS - Mar 2006 - Installing: difference between linux and i586 mode

Hi.

 

When you installing CenOS 4 it offers two options linux and i586. What is
the best option for an Pentium III? And for a Pentium IV?

The default ''linux'' is fine for those. i586 is for people
running via
c3 processors, very old hardware, etc.
