CentOS - Dec 2005 - syslog doesn't start

Im having a problem with my syslog service. Im using CentOS 4.2 and the
syslog just hung when it is starting, how can i troubleshoot this? there's
no log of course it's syslog.

i found a solution. just reinstalled the sysklogd
