I just installed centos 4 on a home built P4 machine. The video card is a nvidia 5900. I installed the nvidia drivers and everything was going along well. When I try to start vncserver though, I get errors: Mon Mar 28 07:56:49 2005 vncext: VNC extension running! vncext: Listening for VNC connections on port 5901 vncext: Listening for HTTP connections on port 5801 vncext: created VNC server for screen 0 error opening security policy file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xserver/SecurityPolicy Could not init font path element /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/CID/, removing from list! Server has no DPMS extension Xlib: extension "XFree86-Misc" missing on display ":1.0". server does not have extension for "r rate" option Never had this problem on my other 2 centos boxes, so I am guessing it has to do with the nvidia driver. I tried changing back to the generic nv driver in /etc/X11/xorg.conf but to no avail. I am using the version 4 of vnc, vnc-4.0-x86_linux.tar.gz. anyone else run into this or knows what might be wrong? Rob
