i just did a full (everything) centos 4 install and afterwards ran a ''yum list available'' and saw the normal packages that have hardware specific version (openssl, glibc, kernels, etc), but also noticed redhat-rpm-config wasn''t installed. i thought maybe it was overriden by a centos thing and ignored it. but then later i was playing with the kernel .src.rpm and it wouldn''t build without redhat-rpm-config. so i installed it and things were fine. i see that package listed in comps.xml in the development-tools group. any clues? or just a weird hiccup on my machine?

Maybe that''s because I installed 4.0_rc1 then yum updated my way to 4.0_final? If it''s supposed to be there, that sounds like a bug to me. -- Collins
