Everytime I try to install in vmware 4.5 I get the following error: The package xorg-x11-tools-6.8.1-23.EL cannot be opened. This is due to a missing file or perhaps a corrupt package. If you are installing from CD media this usually means the CD media is corrupt, or the CD drive is unable to read the media. This package is on CD 2, and I have downloaded 2 different copies, burned 3 different CD''s and I still get the same error everytime. The MD5sum checks out on both iso''s. Not sure if it''s a issue with VMware or not, but I have many other OS''s installed with no problems. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? --jesse
Skip the burning part altogether and just mount the ISO''s in vmware. When a CD change is requested, simply click on the settings of the virtual machine and change the ISO to the next one. I have not installed final, but RC1 installed under vmware 4.5.2 with no problems at all. Good luck! The > MD5sum checks out on both iso''s.if the md5sum checks out there is totally no point in downloading another copy, it''s more likely you''re an alien than for two files downloaded from the internet from the same source to differ and still have the same md5sum (it''s a 1 in 10^40 chance) Cheers, MaZe.
