If you''ve got $releasever in there somewhere it is picking up the version string from the centos-release package. however, you''re getting a 404 to that url and I''m not, this makes me believe you''re having some problems accessing the mirrors. -sv

This was the "exact" same set of errors I received last night. But this morning seems ok. I just let it slide, because it seems something a little strange has been going on the last week or so with the repository/mirror set up.

On a related note, I thought I followed the 3.3 to 3.4 upgrade instructions, but it does not seem to be the case. ERGO: What do I do to upgrade?

There is also instruction on how to do it manually, not sure what you''ve done to upgrade to 3.4 I for one have just been waiting for the automatic process to occur. http://lists.caosity.org/pipermail/centos/2005-January/001563.html

I doubt you''ll find a 3.4 centos-release when searching through the 3.3 repos. Just download the centos-release 3.4 rpm and install it by hand (rpm -hvU centos-release-3.4....rpm). And then run yum update. BTW, yum update worked just fine this morning.

Then run yum update. see... http://lists.caosity.org/pipermail/centos/2005-January/001563.html
