[CentOS-virt] Why is SCSI disabled in kvm on CentOS 5.8?
Looking at the SRPM kvm-83-249.el5.centos.5, and the SRPM for qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.209.el6.src.rpm on CentOS 6.2, I see many patches to remove SCSI support. The 5.2 kvm.spec file disables scsi in the configure run. Why has this been disabled? Many old OS's don't grok SATA, but have had SCSI support for years. In Centos 6.3 you probably want to use the new virtio-scsi driver which looks like it will become the new standard driver because of its features. Regards, Dennis
