Because I agree, the [edit] link on WikiMedia sites (for example) is a clear invitation. (And I know anonymous edits are a pathway to deep frustration, lowering barriers for some while making others' lives overwhelming ... but the clear invitation is a UX piece we can keep.) - - Karsten - -- Karsten 'quaid' Wade .^\ CentOS Doer of Stuff http://TheOpenSourceWay.org \ http://community.redhat.com @quaid (identi.ca/twitter/IRC) \v' gpg: AD0E0C41 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iEYEARECAAYFAlUHelgACgkQ2ZIOBq0ODEGJgQCdFvC130O52nOJ8DF3bao/CkFJ 3OsAniw/XfI7I/bnyhRTPCcicKyIkZE8 =qU0s -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

We could likely do similar, but change up the dropdown. Example: https://docs.docker.com/ the down-caret beside the version string in the upper right, gives you the option for previous versions or to edit on github. What they are doing has to be essentially part of what we should be doing, but instead of versioning complete documentation, having versions of individual documents and giving them option on page itself to edit last few changes would be good.
