Hi Folks,
I am in process of moving bdrb code from devjavu to gitorious. New
development code is available here:
http://gitorious.org/projects/backgroundrb
I have done quite a bit of work on this. I have also removed framework
directory from plugin, since bdrb bundles packet gem within itself, it
was proving painful to maintain two separate versions of the same code
bases. So, bdrb has now added "packet" gem as a formal dependency. I
released new version of packet, which adds better support for writing
to socket and stuff.
New code is lot less and better organized and I am working towards
getting proper code coverage through test cases. Look into tests
directory.
Perhaps, git doesn''t play so nicely with rails yet, so I want your
opinions on this. Dale Cook has worked on getting documentation and
new website done, which will be coming for new release.
I want your help and contribution. If you have submitted a patch to
bdrb in past and want to contribute. Please create an account with
gitorious and you will have commit access.
I am busy as ever with my day job and need your help. Also, users who
are running bdrb in production should keep using code at:
http://svn.devjavu.com/backgroundrb/trunk/
