asterisk users - Feb 2008 - Generate anonymous SIP Calls

Is there a way for Asterisk to generate anonymous SIP calls?

I have tried putting "" in the fromuser field, but that didn't
seem to
work.

I have been asked by a Telco to provide SIP traffic with headers that
are empty before the '@' symbol.

Is this even possible?

Anonymous SIP calls should use "Anonymous" as the callerid
per RFC 2543.

Set(CALLERID(all)=Anonymous <anonymous>);
