asterisk users - Dec 2007 - Soundcard necessary on an asterisk server toget output of playback()??

I was using version 1.4.5.1

I just downloaded and installed version 1.4.7, configure/make/make 
install finished without an error, but when is used

modprobe ztdummy

the system said:

FATAL: Error inserting ztdummy 
(/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-386/misc/ztdummy.ko): Unknown symbol in module, 
or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

OK, here's the output of dmesg:

According to modules.dep, ztdummy relies on zaptel.ko and crc-ccitt.ko:

grep ztdummy ../modules.dep /lib/modules/2.6.22-14-386/misc/ztdummy.ko:
/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-386/misc/zaptel.ko 
/lib/modules/2.6.22-14-386/kernel/lib/crc-ccitt.ko

Both modules are already loaded:

 >lsmod | grep zaptel
zaptel                188708  1 zttranscode
crc_ccitt               2304  1 zaptel

Any further suggestions?

Are you sure that the source of your kernel is the same as the running
kernel?

I.E. Have a look at the source it is using while compiling Asterisk and
compare that to uname -a
