Find the manual on the phone. More specifically, find the cable pinout.
The phone probably takes two pair. Sometimes, one pair is simply
dialtone and the other pair is the "Digital" part of the picture.
You may be able to punch down or make a cable that simply provides
dialtone to phone but again, consult the manual on the cable pinout.

Subject: [asterisk-users] Ericcson analog phone
Hi,
Anybody using this Ericcson analog phone with Asterisk: Ericsson dialog
4187?
I was told some functionalities like CLID will only work with an
Ericsson PABX but other than that I would like to hear from anybody
using this phone on a FXS port.
Thanks,
Jose Limeres
