asterisk users - Nov 2006 - bristuff error: "received SETUP message for call that is not a new call"

Hello,

With the following setup:

- asterisk 1.2.13, 
- zaptel 1.2.10 
- bristuff 0.3.0-PRE-1v 
- quadbri card,

after a few hours of normal operation incoming calls suddenly fail to 
enter with the following message:

 "received SETUP message for call that is not a new call"

restarting asterisk cures the issue but then it creeps back, making the 
system unusable.

Downgrading asterisk to 1.2.10, zaptel to 1.2.7 and bristuff to 
0.3.0-PRE-1q solves the problem durably.

Have you tried using bristuff 1v with the qozap driver of 1s? All qozap
versions after 1s had serious problems (which seem to be fixed in soon
to be released 1w). If this does not help, do a pri debug or better yet
pri intense debug, describe the problem and contact the author with this
info.

Indeed, bristuff 0.3w has been released.

One improevement in it (which probably explains much of the size
increase): ztcfg is patched to add two extra options: -s now takes a
span number and can shut down a specific span. There is also an extra
option -a, that (re)Activates a span (that has been shut down).

A step closer to hotplugged zaptel?
