I have a bunch of Snom phones. When I press the mute button, the phone stops sending RTP frames. If I have rtptimeout set, that means that the connection will eventually be cut off. It also affects sound generated by asterisk, since timing is generated from the incoming frames. Are there any workarounds I can try? Disabling rtptimeout is one, obviously. /Benny
I am not familiar with the SNOM phone. On some mfg phones I think they have a setting to enable "transmit silence". See if Snom has such a setting.
