Hello, I have an AGI that calls fwrite(STDOUT,"RECORD FILE /var/spool/asterisk/record/$filename wav 123456789*# 180000 s=10 beep\n"); to record a message. The problem i am seeing is that it is clipping any sort of "dead air" (not sure what else to call it ) and tends to run sentences together. is this something i can adjust? Thanks Randy

If so, look in the phone's settings and make sure Silence Suppression (a/k/a VAD) is switched off. Asterisk doesn't properly handle Silence Suppression in some cases.
