[asterisk-users] DNS lookups failing for SIP register
It seems that Asterisk 1.2.9.1 has a problem doing DNS lookups for SIP "register =>" lines. Lookups on the same machine using "host" or "ping" work, but Asterisk gives: No such host: example.com Probably a DNS error for registration to 12345@example.com, trying REGISTER again (after 20 seconds) (Domain replaced with example.com) Putting an entry in /etc/hosts, or using an IP address in the register line, works. I also think, but cannot be sure, that this system worked with older versions of Asterisk in the 1.2.3 to 1.2.5 era. Has anyone else seen this? -- Alistair Cunningham, Integrics Ltd, +44 20 799 39 799 http://integrics.com/
