[asterisk-users] Asterisk instances on VPS
Hi folks! I'm setting up a debian box with kernel 2.6 running virtual private servers with a TE110P card, at this moment i have two instances of vps running and i want to run asterisk on every one, so, i have installed all fine (documentation on http://www.telephreak.org/papers/vpa/). But my problem arises when i run asterisk. It seems that D-CHANNEL is owned by the first instance that run and the other instance dies loading chan_zap and shows: [chan_zap.so] => (Zapata Telephony w/PRI) == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf': Found -- Registered channel 17, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 18, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 19, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 20, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 21, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 22, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 23, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 24, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 25, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 26, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 27, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 28, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 29, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 30, PRI Signalling signalling -- Registered channel 31, PRI Signalling signalling -- Automatically generated pseudo channel Jul 13 17:00:05 ERROR[30297]: chan_zap.c:9090 start_pri: Unable to open D-channel 16 (Device or resource busy) Jul 13 17:00:05 ERROR[30297]: chan_zap.c:10903 setup_zap: Unable to start D-channel on span 1 Jul 13 17:00:05 WARNING[30297]: loader.c:414 __load_resource: chan_zap.so: load_module failed, returning -1 Well, hence, how can i setup multiple dchan, on zaptel.conf (on the host system) or in zapata.conf(on the fork systems), to work with any group of channels?. Asterisk's chanzap and the kernel zaptel connect mainly via /dev/zap/ctl . AFAIK only one instance of Asterisk can have this file open. That is: if two instances open two such device files, who get messages relevant to each span?> so, i have > installed all fine (documentation on http://www.telephreak.org/papers/vpa/).
