Is there a Way I can have 2 phones, on the same extension (as in Dial(SIP/phone1&SIP/Phone2) ), whereby if one phone is in use, then the other one will not be rung if called? This is useful to me, in the situation where the phone system has a queue and an agent will very often not be at his desk and has access to a wireless handset. If it helps, both handsets are SIP devices.
It looks like a good starting point would be here: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk+cmd+SetGroup On 7/9/06, Thomas Kenyon <digium@sanguinarius.co.uk> wrote:> > Is there a Way I can have 2 phones, on the same extension (as in > Dial(SIP/phone1&SIP/Phone2) ), whereby if one phone is in use, then the > other one will not be rung if called? > > This is useful to me, in the situation where the phone system has a > queue and an agent will very often not be at his desk and has access to > a wireless handset. > > If it helps, both handsets are SIP devices. > > _______________________________________________ > --Bandwidth and Colocation provided by Easynews.com -- > > asterisk-users mailing list > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users >-- Lacy Moore Aspendora, Inc. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Each desk phone comes with an associated cordless handset. Calls ring on both with only one registration into the server. Costs about the same as a decent Polycom phones. Michael
