asterisk users - Jun 2006 - Polycom SIP 1.6.6

Off topic. Anyone know where I can get Polycom SIP software v1.6.6,
unofficially?
Not that Polycom is analy retentive, or anything like that...

I'd suggest calling whoever you buy your phones from.  The distributor I
work with requires that you are Polycom certified to be able to purchase
phones from them, but once you are certified with Polycom you can actually
download the firmware from their extranet.
