asterisk users - Dec 2005 - extension not ringing when dialed from DID

HI All,

I have an extension 300 (which is a remote sip connection) and when I
call it internally it will ring the other side but if I am on the DID
and dial 300 it will not ring the extension but It sounds like it is
ringing.

When I call on the DID to any other extension the call goes through
just fine.  I am not having any other problems dialing in or out.

The DID is a number provided by a sip carrier.

How can I go about trying to fix this problem?

Make sure you have an /etc/asterisk/indications.conf
