I've been spending countless hours in an effort to remove echo from an Asterisk@Home 2.0 install with a TDM11B. I've been in contact with Digium and followed their troubleshooting steps. I've tried every echo canceller, adjusting RX & TX gain with ztmonitor calling the local CO, running fxotune, every conceivable combination of echocancel values and echotraining. Echo doesn't seem to vary much, even going from one extreme value to the other. I did notice a strange problem along the way. When I dialout, whether using an analog phone, softphone, or Sipura, and the outside party disconnects, I don't hang up, it takes Asterisk more than half a minute to figure out that the call was disconnected. This does not happen when I dial a long distance number using my Teliax trunk. It is definately only an issue with the Digium FXO line. Does anyone have a clue what could cause this problem.
