I want to give the benefit of doubt to the suggestion as I think there is a misunderstanding of the suggested method of removal of AMP. I guess that he was suggesting to remove it from your linux installation by using the rm -rf command as under cd /var/www rm -rf * which will efectively remove all the web pages associated with the AMP instalation. -Seshu -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Anders Svensson Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 1:35 PM To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Uninstall AMP I agree. In my FC2 box with a new-ish AMP install, AMP can be effectively disabled by commenting out "/usr/sbin/ampportal start" in /etc/rc.d/rc.local However, the "ampportal" script also calls safe_asterisk so you have to add a reference to safe_asterisk in rc.local if you want Asterisk to start at boot, or call the binary manually like this: su asterisk /usr/sbin/asterisk & hth -----Original Message----- From: Anders Svensson [mailto:anders@bobascom.com] Sent: Friday, November 04, 2005 12:31 PM To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Uninstall AMP That doesn't solve much. What I want to do is to stop using AMP and FOP. Best way perhaps is to alter start and stop script but I can't find any info about how to do that Anders -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Kanuri, Seshu (Company IT) Sent: den 4 november 2005 19:48 To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] Uninstall AMP I want to give the benefit of doubt to the suggestion as I think there is a misunderstanding of the suggested method of removal of AMP.
