asterisk users - Nov 2005 - shared lines

Has anyone figured out how to make the shared line appearance thing work
with asterisk?

Can a Polycom IP601 with the addon modules be setup to work like an
attendant console showing the status of other lines? 

How does that sort of thing work with Asterisk?
