asterisk users - Sep 2005 - new spandsp-0.0.3pre1 missing tx and rx fax apps?

Guys.

I was going to give spandsp-0.0.3pre1 a try under asterisk 1.2beta1..
Anybody done this?

When I noticed that this particular release doesn't have the tx and rx fax
apps on the tree as older ones. 

Anybody knows what happened?
