[Asterisk-Users] outgoing prefix dial plan
Hi, I have my Asterisk (two analog lines into a TDM400P) except cannot get out. Centrex from Verizon was on the lines (must dial 9 to get out) is there a way to get a pause using the outgoing prefix under trunks? Calls in and extensions work fine - just getting out yields an error from Verizon each time something is called (trying to prefix with 9 and without) Is there a special set of dial plan rules or prefixes needed? Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program.

Each "w" adds additional delay. Like: exten => _9XXXXXXX,1,Dial(Zap/4/ww${EXTEN}) Its a fairly common problem, particularily in central office switches that are old, and on some newer ones that might be under engineered.
