I don't think # is valid comment character.

Use '//' or '/* BLAH */'

Instead of
fputs($socket, "Context: mainmenu\r\n\");
use
fputs($socket, "Context: mainmenu\r\n");
The trailing backslash was the bug
Now every thing works fine...
