asterisk users - Apr 2005 - How to replace VM busy.gsm and unavail.gsm messages with custom files

I've tried to replace the gsm, wav and WAV files in the
/var/spool/asterisk/vm/default/201 directory with some strung-together
Allison files, but every time I try, it just plays the default 'greet'.
Is this possible, or is it just that I'm doing something wrong?
