Hello, I am having some problems using Asterisk together with ALSA and OSS with two different motherboards with VIA686 soundcards and Linux kernel 2.6.10. The ALSA drivers work but have a latency of around 0.5seconds and the OSS-driver only works sometimes on one of the computers but never on the other. The error I get is: chan_oss.c:239 sound_thread: Read error on sound device: Resource temporarily unavailable I googled this error and found some references that Asterisk does not support VIA686 because it is fixed at 48Khz, the information seemed to be several years old, is this still true? When the OSS-driver works (sometimes on one of the boards) it has very low latency and good sound-quality. Sincerely, Markus Hakansson
