[Asterisk-Users] Cann't get CallerID on Zap channel, Please Help!!
Hello Sir, I use FXO card but cann't get CallerID. Here is Taiwan and the callered follows ETSI in permitting DTMF and FSK signals (Seems same to that in Australia and New Zealand, based on Bellcore) Does anybody know what's the cadence setting will be in zapata.conf, so that I can get the CallerID on Zap channel? Thanks a lot!! BR, Dominic Lu -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It would help if you would include your config files and state what type of FXO device you have On Sun, 10 Apr 2005, Dominic Lu wrote:> Hello Sir, > > I use FXO card but cann't get CallerID. > Here is Taiwan and the callered follows ETSI in permitting DTMF and FSK signals > (Seems same to that in Australia and New Zealand, based on Bellcore) > > Does anybody know what's the cadence setting will be in zapata.conf, so that I can get the CallerID on Zap channel? > > Thanks a lot!! > > BR, Dominic Lu > > >

To get CallerID on Zap working in New Zealand I followed advice on the wiki re callerid in Australia. This involved changing chan_zap.c #define DEFAULT_CIDRINGS 2. Works like a charm. Also would recommend setting opermode. More info in the wiki but for me: vi /etc/modprobe.conf install wctdm --ignore-install wctdm opermode=NEWZEALAND fxshonormode=1 && /sbin/ztcfg vi /etc/rc.d/rc.local echo ADDING WCFXS /sbin/modprobe wcfxs opermode=NEWZEALAND fxshonormode=1 Regards Cameron ----- Original Message ----- From: Dominic Lu To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Sent: Sunday, April 10, 2005 9:57 PM Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Cann't get CallerID on Zap channel, Please Help!!
