We are planning on offering unlimited IAX terminations to the US for residential/home users for USD $19.95 per month, and business users for a higher price (not yet determined), starting May 1st, but we wanted to see what kind of interest there will be for this first. If you might be interested in this, please send an e-mail to iaxsales@jsci.net with contact information.

Why would anyone pay $19.95/mth for termination only when you can pay the same price and get unlimited INCOMING (DID) and outgoing with numerous SIP providers? -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of joe@jsci.net Sent: Thursday, April 07, 2005 10:07 AM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: [Asterisk-Users] unlimited iax termination We are planning on offering unlimited IAX terminations to the US for residential/home users for USD $19.95 per month, and business users for a higher price (not yet determined), starting May 1st, but we wanted to see what kind of interest there will be for this first. Can you tell me, which SIP providers that *work with asterisk* are providing unlimited inbound/outbound calling for $20? Iconnecthere is 30, broadvoice is 30, etc..., and will allow you to specify your outbound cid? Seriously, I'd like to know, the whole point of this is market research, we want to know what people want to buy and what they want to pay for it. Also, IAX2 is, imho, a better protocol than SIP over udp especially for users with standard broadband connections to significantly oversubscribed ISPs, but I'm sure that will spark some discussion... -Joe --- Mike Matthews mike74105 at cox.net wrote: Why would anyone pay $19.95/mth for termination only when you can pay the same price and get unlimited INCOMING (DID) and outgoing with numerous SIP providers? -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces at lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces at lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of joe at jsci.net Sent: Thursday, April 07, 2005 10:07 AM To: asterisk-users at lists.digium.com Subject: [Asterisk-Users] unlimited iax termination
Packet 8 $19.95 (but I use the $49 international plan) Connects straight in via ata and x100p. USA quality is vgood, international could be better from time to time Cheers, Dean> -----Original Message----- > From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users- > bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of iaxsales@jsci.net > Sent: Friday, April 08, 2005 2:02 PM > To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com > Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] unlimited iax termination > > Can you tell me, which SIP providers that *work with asterisk* are > providing unlimited inbound/outbound calling for $20? ... my point exactly ... Yes, you can certainly get SIP unlimited calling (not just in-state, but unlimited US and sometimes international) for 19.95, but many require you use their device (in which case, to connect to asterisk, you have to use an analog leg for your voip calling), and most (that provide unlimited calling) won't support you with asterisk if you can even get everything working correctly in the first place. We're trying to offer the same service, through IAX. IAX is a better protocol than SIP over UDP, especially over the standard residential broadband connections that exist in the US. Regarding inbound, after the feedback we've received we don't plan on charging for inbound, when we get that operational. Our first goal is to get outbound operational. Feedback is much appreciated. -Joe --- Date: Fri, 8 Apr 2005 14:27:14 -0400 From: "dean collins" <dean@collins.net.pr> Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] unlimited iax termination To: "Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion" <asterisk-users@lists.digium.com> Message-ID: <B8B183D4EFB7B44E9BAE7C0D2F930EE9E28D@cognationsvr1.Cognation.local> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Packet 8 $19.95 (but I use the $49 international plan) Connects straight in via ata and x100p. (I made a bookmark of it!!!) However, I wanted to find the real definition of "unlimited" of each provider. BTW, NuFone is missing. A suggestion to the list: Can you add the web site, please? Again, a wonderful creation. I am sure when the providers will see it, they will try to get the best place, .... ;-) bye Ronald
