asterisk users - Apr 2005 - SIPTone II and PoE

I've just purchased a Netgear FS108P switch which has PoE (802.3af standard)
on 4 ports.  According to some websites the SipTone II supposedly is compliant
with 802.3af - IPDialog just says that it supports power over ethernet.

Powerdsine list the SipTone II as 802.3af as well.

Can I get it to power up via just the ethernet cable - no way!  Either my new
Netgear switch is faulty or the SipTone II utilises another PoE standard (but
not 802.3af).

Has anyone any experience of PoE and the SipTone II?

In reply to my own e-mail, I've had a very quick and helpful response from
IPDialog, as follows:

"The current model SipTone(TM) II  phone supports POE using
PowerDsine's capacitive detection method, not 802.3af.  The SipTone(TM) II
phones may be powered from a PowerDsine 60xx midspan power injector.

A new phone model, the SipTone(TM) III model, will become available in June
2005, and that model will support 802.3af.  Here is some preliminary information
about the new model:
