Hello, I just download and installed the .8 ISO i have installed two Digium Wildcard X100P Cards( I have two outside normal analog lines) Is there a simple of howto to get these working ? I download the handbook, but wow there are many options. I guess, the one question I first should ask, is ?? Should the user be familiar with telephony apps and terms before attempting to use this app. I am a programmer that owns a small business, so all the IT/phone stuff is done by me and that is not my expertise. Thanks Randy

I didn't. I had to bootstrap learn, as it were, just like you are. It's not so bad, once you get the hang of it ( actually, it's quite easy ). If you have specific questions regarding installation, Digium offers free tech support for the initial installation. Or you can ask your specific questions here and we can try to help you. Sean
Are both cars recognized by the system?? Check in /proc/interrupts and see if BOTH cards are there. Also see what /proc/pci tells you. If you are still having trouble contact Digium (only if you bought the cards from them, if you bought the clones, you may be Out of luck!) -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Randy Paries Sent: Monday, April 04, 2005 5:03 PM To: 'Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion' Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] rookie getting started question Thanks for the info OK my first questions.... I have edited my zaptel.conf ===========================fxsks=1-2 loadzone = us defaultzone=us I have two X100P cards installed When I run /sbin/ztcfg ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: Invalid argument (22) Did you forget that FXS interfaces are configured with FXO signalling and that FXO interfaces use FXS signalling? If I set fxsks=1 it works ok. [Asterisk-Users] rookie getting started question
Hi,> 0: 184892 XT-PIC timer > 1: 5 XT-PIC keyboard > 2: 0 XT-PIC cascade > 8: 1 XT-PIC rtc > 11: 3585589 XT-PIC wcfxo, ztdummy, usb-uhci, eth0 > 14: 5360 XT-PIC ide0 > 15: 0 XT-PIC ide1that do not look good. For just a small test, it will go. Definitively not for 'production'. Wcfxo, Eth0 on the same irq, the worst possible combination. Look into your bios if you can disable the serial & parallel ports. The same for sound, game ports. Look if you can disable usb too. That sould free some irq. Also irq 15 (ide1) could be free if you do not put a cd on the second channel After freeing irq's, it might be necessary to physically put the cards in other slots (or swap those if you have too few slots) Regards, Shaoul Jacobson Senior VoIP Consultant Tellink Tel : +32 3 201 96 36 Fax : +32 3 227 09 81 e-mail shaoul@tellink.com
