Anyone running Cisco Call Manager and using Asterisk for voice mail services? Things working well or is the concept a bit of a hassle to implement? TIA
I'm currently in the process of getting it to work for a CCME install, I have it all working except for one thing.. I think it was calling a phone from the asterisk server the call transfer back to asterisk would fail with an authentication issue and die. I'm pretty sure this issue can be resolved I just have not had the time recently wo work on it, I can provide more info when I'm back in the office next week. I did some work on my configuration to get it working and have now documented it somewhat here: http://voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+Cisco+CallManager+Express+Integration Thanks to the list member who pointed me in the direction of the redirect ip2ip which solved my problem. Regards, Nathan. Nathan Reeves wrote:> Anyone running Cisco Call Manager and using Asterisk for voice mail > services? Let me ask a silly question, Is Cisco call manager free software ? No, Cisco Call Manager Express is licenced from Cisco. ht@phonitel.com wrote:> Let me ask a silly question, > > Is Cisco call manager free software ? > > > Selon Nathan Alberti <na@nathanalberti.com>: > > >>I did some work on my configuration to get it working and have now >>documented it somewhat here: >> > > http://voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk+Cisco+CallManager+Express+Integration > >>Thanks to the list member who pointed me in the direction of the >>redirect ip2ip which solved my problem. >> >>Regards, >> >>Nathan. >> >> >>Nathan Reeves wrote: >> >>>Anyone running Cisco Call Manager and using Asterisk for voice mail >>>services? I updated the page with my MWI notes from testing today and information I found here: http://www.pasewaldt.com/cme/cme_index.htm Basically yes.. You need to have each device register with Asterisk and it will notify the end device of the mailbox status. Nathan. Hi, We have Asterisk (CVS-HEAD-11/23/04-10:52:47) and Callmanager 4.1(2) connected together using a SIP trunk, have both way dialing and are using the Asterisk Box as a voicemail server for the CCM. Everything is working great except for the MWI. The CCM has 2 numbers in the MWI config for turning on/off the light but can't seem to dial or signal these from Asterisk. Asterisk appears to have a single number for signaling (though this is from CME config examples). Anyone out there done this or have any tips. Thanks D Kemp
