[Asterisk-Users] Does asterisk@home support Dual-Processor installations?
See subject: Does asterisk@home support Dual-Processor installations? I didn't see anything on the sourceforge page clarifying that. I suppose they could leave out the SMP version of the Linux kernel to save space on the .iso? I had trouble some time ago installing version .5 of *@home and question if I should try it again - but I'd be installing on a Dual-P233 IBM Netfinity 3500. Thanks.

[Asterisk-Users] Does asterisk@home support Dual-Processorinstallations?
I recently installed 0.6 on a Dell PowerEdge 2400 dual processor and it installed with and used an SMP kernel. The 0.8 that I just installed that is going to be my production machine does not have dual processors so an SMP kernel was not installed. (Now cue 20 posts by people telling you to ask this on the *@home Sourceforge forum :) Brent -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of Roger Hanson Sent: Friday, April 01, 2005 9:55 AM To: Asterisk List Discussion Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Does asterisk@home support Dual-Processorinstallations? [Asterisk-Users] Does asterisk@home support Dual-Processor installations?
I put up a test version of version 0.6 on a dual Pentium Pro 200 ( an old IBM 365 ) and all compiled just fine. Due to its use of the later RH version with Kudzu that kills the 3Com card after installation, I had to change the network card. You could also choose to stop Kudzu from running automatically. Have to wonder why this known ( for more than a year ) problem has yet to be fixed. John Novack Roger Hanson wrote:> See subject: > > Does asterisk@home support Dual-Processor installations?
