asterisk users - Feb 2005 - Logging agents in and out via manager API or other utility. Is it possible?

I have searched and searched, but been unable to find a method to log agents
in and out other than through the phone and AgentCallbackLogin or
AgentLogin.  Anyone know if there is another way?  I have looked through the
manager API but was unable to find an alternate way to do this.
