Good Day list, Thanks for taking the time to reading this posting!!! I have read a plethora of postings about the TDM WildCard and analog lines. And have the following question. Many people have recommended the Sipura products, and others have recommended a channel bank connected the a PRI card in asterisk box. Does anyone know if it is possible to get Caller ID information into asterisk if using anything other than the TDM WildCard products (using pots lines?) I am interested in moving away from the WildCards but my clients require simple things like Caller ID. Thanks ron -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It gets a bit more complicated with ISDN PRIs and BRIs. Outbound POTS CallerID typically is at the mercy of the telco. HTH Greg
We have incoming CallerID with no problem in ISDN PRI. (Natl ISDN)... It did take a call to the PSTN Switchtech to turn the option on however. -- Mike ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gregory Junker" <gregory.junker@dayark.com> To: "Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion" <asterisk-users@lists.digium.com> Sent: Thursday, January 06, 2005 1:31 PM Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] POTS Lines> > Many people have recommended the Sipura products, and others > > have recommended a channel bank connected the a PRI card in asteriskbox.> > Does anyone know if it is possible to get Caller ID > > information into asterisk if using anything other than the TDM WildCard > > products (using pots lines?) > > I am interested in moving away from the WildCards but my > > clients require simple things like Caller ID. > > Caller ID on POTS lines is transmitted inband, so any of the above can > handle incoming POTS CallerID.
