[Asterisk-Users] Outgoing call fails on pulse dial line
I have Digium FXO/FXS card and one of my phone lines is with pulse dialing. At first I didn't have dial tone at all, but after upgrading my Asterisk and Zaptel SW to the latest one (1.0.2) I have dial tone. But, when I try to dial outgoing number it fails after first key pressed. Does anyone know how to solve this? I am in Eastern Europe (Belgrade, Serbia) and our phone lines are mixture of old (pulse) and new ones. So I have 2 lines in my house, one with tone dialing and one with pulse dialing. Hi Some time ago I have tried that without success :( There is an article on wiki about pulse dialing... The guy who wrote that patch from Kiev and I have contact him about bugs etc... [Asterisk-Users] Outgoing call fails on pulse dial line
Hi, I tried patch with Asterisk 1.0.2 and Zaptel 1.0.2 and it is ok. Pacth utility reported that it successfully installed all the diffs. However, when I try to dial out, it doesnt break the dial tone which is typical issue when you have tone dialing device dialing pulse line (in case of regular phone you just change the settings on the phone set from tone to pulse). When I do zap show channel I see that it still reports that channel is not pulse based, despite the fact that I changed my zapata.conf with pulse=yes. It looks like this is not solved with the patch at all. Maybe I am making a mistake in my zapata.conf or extension.conf. Question is how to get that Asterisk reports in "zap show channel" that channel is in pulse mode? I suppose that if Asterisk "knows" that channel is in pulse mode it will do something useful on the zaptel level and it will break the dial tone and do the right thing. I don?t know how about other countries but I suppose that there are large portions of Eastern Europe where pulse lines are still in use, so fixing this problem would be nice.
