Hi, I wanted to know is it possible to convert G729 -> G723.1 in just pass-through mode without owning the licenses to both codecs? The scene is that we purchase all termination in G729 from our carriers and onsell it in G729 in simple pass-through mode. However, we now have a client who wishes to purchase the termination in G723.1 but since we don't own the codec license, I wanted to know if it'll function as normal in passthrough mode? Cheers, Sahil

Asterisk only supports g723.1 in pass-through mode. I.E. the call remains the same codec from end to end and does not require any reading/writing of the audio. -- Cheers, Matt Riddell _______________________________________________ http://www.sineapps.com/news.php (Daily Asterisk News - html) http://www.sineapps.com/rssfeed.php (Daily Asterisk News - rss)
